Dr Robert Argent is Director of the Water Information Research and Development Alliance, an eight-year research partnership between the Bureau of Meteorology and CSIRO. The partnership is improving management of Australia's water resources through delivery of research used in the Bureau's national suite of water information products. Dr Argent is also the Bureau's Research and Development Manager, with a focus on developing and transitioning to operation the products and services needed to deliver the Bureau’s mission of providing environmental intelligence to the Australian public. He was previously a hydrological and catchment modelling researcher at the University of Melbourne.
