Professor Emma Johnston is a world-leading marine ecologist and ecotoxicologist. She is a Professor at the University of New South Wales where she heads the Applied Marine and Estuarine Ecology Laboratory and is also the inaugural Director of the Sydney Harbour Research Program at the Sydney Institute of Marine Science. Professor Johnston has been a research fellow of the Australian Research Council and was inaugural winner of the Australian Academy of Science Nancy Millis medal.
