Professor Richard Mackay, AM is Director of Possibilities at Mackay Strategic and an Adjunct Professor with La Trobe University. Formerly a longstanding Partner of GML Heritage, he has more than 30 years’ experience in cultural resource management, including as the immediate past Chair of the Australian World Heritage Advisory Committee and Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area Advisory Committee. He is also a former Member of the NSW Heritage Council and was an ICOMOS cultural heritage advisor at the most-recent Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee. Professor Mackay was a member of the SoE 2011 Committee and has participated in more than 500 heritage management and archaeology projects throughout Australian and south-east Asia.
