We encourage you to read the State of the Environment findings online to make full use of the comparison and interactive tools:
- view the key findings for all themes and compare 2016 findings to 2011 findings using filters
- compare assessment summaries between reporting cycles e.g. Pressures affecting the coastal environment
- perform powerful searches on assessment summaries to see changes over time e.g. what grades have improved from the last report
- perform advanced searching and filtering of content
- read about findings across all themes by framework or topics
- discover cross-cutting issues and related subjects (you'll find these in the right sidebar of topics in each theme)
- view topics and other content specific to a region
- interact with graphs and maps as well as adding your own data to maps (you'll find these under topics in each theme)
- cite the report, share on social media and read about the authors (in each theme)
Use the links in the header to explore themes in detail, filter by topics of interest to you or read the Overview and Drivers reports.
If you want to search for a specific subject we have three different search mechanisms - advanced keyword search with the ability to fine tune the results, region based search for content that we can tag to a specific region (e.g. Great Barrier Reef), advanced assessment summary search so you can filter e.g. find aspects of the environment that are improving or have declined etc
